Donald Trump will likely end 2018 in more legal danger than any president in recent memory. This month saw him directly implicated in criminal activity, revealed some of the clearest evidence yet that his campaign indeed colluded with Russia, and offered some strong suggestions that Christopher Steele was on to something when he compiled the “golden showers” dossier.
Let’s review. His former attorney, Michael Cohen, as well as the publisher of his favorite tabloid, the National Enquirer, have implicated him in hush money payments to his mistresses. Cohen also admitted that he lied about when Trump broke off negotiations for a Moscow Trump Tower–information that the Kremlin could have potentially used as the equivalent of a sword of Damocles. Moreover, we learned that Cohen tacitly admitted to colluding with Russia, and former national security adviser Michael Flynn revealed information about dealings between the Trump transition team and the Kremlin.
In light of these developments, it’s only natural to wonder how anyone could still be all-in for Trump. Well, it turns out that some people are still bowing down to him–like one of Trump’s most rabid religious right supporters, Lance Wallnau. To hear him talk, the only reason Trump’s pursuers haven’t fallen on their faces is that they may be protected by the forces of darkness.
Wallnau is almost in a class by himself among the nation’s so-called moral guardians. He has been at the forefront of a sustained campaign to bully evangelicals into remaining loyal to Trump. This is a man who claims that Robert Mueller’s investigation has placed a demonic cloud over Trump–one being generated by a “demonic fog machine.” When a so-called man of God makes these statements in the face of the mounting evidence of wrongdoing, it’s only fair to wonder whether said man of God has turned Trump into a golden calf. Or in this case, an orange calf.
Well, on Monday, Wallnau appeared to put that question to rest in a message to his Periscope followers. People for the American Way’s Right Wing Watch got a clip.
Wallnau started out by claiming that one of Trump’s most ardent critics, Robert De Niro, had been hit by a “boomerang” for daring to set his face against the Donald. De Niro recently announced that he and his wife of 20 years, Gwen Hightower, are divorcing. Wallnau believed that De Niro was paying a stiff price for ignoring God’s warning to “touch not mine anointed.”
To Wallnau’s mind, De Niro’s frequent attacks on Trump were a sign that he was being influenced by demons.
You see, if God raises up even a secular figure and he puts his hand on him then you have to have a peculiar position in the spirit realm to be pushing at that.
Wait a minute, Lance. You’ve been saying that Mueller’s investigation is demonically driven. So why hasn’t Mueller been hit by a boomerang?
Well, Wallnau had a ready answer. He claimed that the myriad demonic “principalities” in this country are behind Mueller’s investigation–and they will continue to wreak havoc until Spirit-filled Christians wake up and “spiritually break the gridlock that’s in the heavens.” If that isn’t an admission that Wallnau has made Trump a golden calf, what is?
Recalling how all of the attempts to assassinate Adolf Hitler went awry, Wallnau mused that it was almost as if the devil himself was protecting Hitler. He thought the same thing was playing out with Mueller’s investigation.
So principalities will protect their own interest. And Mueller and CNN—I keep waiting for the cosmic boomerang to hit, but then I realize they’re at a high level spirit. They’re operating under a high-level principality.
Well, that’s interesting. So criminal activity is being exposed because of an investigation operating under the protection of a high-level demon? Apparently those principalities must be awfully busy.
Remember, the investigation into Cohen’s misdeeds is being led by the U. S. Attorney’s office in Manhattan–which is led by a Trump-appointed U. S. Attorney. And just hours after Wallnau signed off, New York state attorney general Barbara Underwood announced that she had killed one of Trump’s golden geese, the Donald J. Trump Foundation. As part of a settlement, the foundation will have to dissolve on Underwood’s terms. New York state investigators have long maintained that Trump used the foundation as a piggy bank for his business and political ventures. The foundation will be required to distribute its remaining assets to court-approved charities.
Additionally, Trump and his four adult children are still the targets of a lawsuit that aims to make them pay $2.8 million in restitution and ban them from serving on the boards of New York-based nonprofits. Underwood’s successor, Letitia James, has vowed to pursue that lawsuit and a number of other probes into violations of state law on Trump’s part.
So if we heard Wallnau right, any attempts to drain the swamp of corruption and crime surrounding Trump are demonically driven. If he believes that, then there is no longer any doubt. Wallnau has made Trump a golden calf. Or rather, an orange calf. So now we know that he has zero qualms about calling good evil and evil good.
