The most inconsequential and irrelevant news stories.
The latest most inconsequential and irrelevant news stories being flogged by most mainstream media outlets about the Mueller investigation is – Will Trump fire Mueller and – Will Trump pardon Flynn. Of course the answer to both questions is a resounding – NO but covering them serves the media’s main objective – they drive ratings and profits. Let’s examine why these stories are so totally irrelevant to the investigation and instead present some that are in fact truly relevant but are not getting the media attention they need to keep us informed.
Will Trump pardon Flynn? The answer: “No.”

Trump’s first opportunity to pardon Flynn presented itself back when the media first exposed Flynn’s Russia connections but Trump chose to dodge the issue. Trump’s second opportunity presented itself when Trump forced Flynn to resign and Trump yet again backed off the matter. Trump was availed of another opportunity this summer when he was informed of a grand jury against Flynn, and he learned the full depth of the crimes Flynn was faced with. Trump had every opportunity to pardon Flynn, if he had any hope of preventing him from cutting a plea deal with Mueller but instead he threw Flynn under the bus. As it turned out Flynn did end up cutting a deal with Mueller, turning over damning evidence against Trump and Kushner and only then did Trump finally begin publicly talking about how he doesn’t want to talk about pardoning Flynn. So, out of self preservation Trump sacrificed Flynn – an opinion you’ll never hear voiced in the mainstream media.
Will Trump fire Mueller? The answer: “No.”
Trump’s first opportunity to fire Mueller came back in the fall, before all the arrests began, when the media first began reporting on these imminent arrests but Trump believed at the time that Mueller was just all smoke and mirrors, not a real threat. The one time Trump fired someone to try and halt any further investigation was when he fired James Comey, which severely backfired on him. Trump’s next opportunity to fire Mueller would arise with the public exposure of two members of Mueller’s investigative team resulting in calls for the resignation of Mueller’s boss. Both Mueller and his boss refused to quit and Trump let the matter drop refusing to publicly fire them both. Subsequently Mueller delivered a thinly veiled and very public message to Trump – Try to fire me again and everyone who participated, or even knew about, the illegal conspiracy with the Russian government to sabotage President Obama’s sanctions will immediately be arrested and a sealed indictment against them will proceed. As it stands now if Trump begins the process of trying to fire Mueller by firing Jeff Sessions and Rod Rosenstein first, Mueller can have half of Trump’s current team in handcuffs before Trump can fire him. So, out of self preservation Trump dares not attempt again to fire Mueller – an opinion you’ll never hear voiced in the mainstream media.
What is Trump’s missing email story all about? The answer: “Watch for it.”
Trump is currently being accused of trying and failing to cover-up 50,000 incriminating transition and election emails. Mueller has under evidence every single email ever sent or received by the Trump transition team which clearly indicates what and when Trump and Pence were told about the conspiracy. Mueller has clearly indicated that he now has indictable evidence under seal, not just against the transition team, but against ALL of Trump’s people, and he’ll arrest every one of them if Trump tries to fire him again. Regardless of whether or not Mueller makes good on his threat or if he chooses to cut plea deals or not with some of these people, the cold hard reality is that these emails prove several Trump people guilty of having illegally conspired with Russia during the transition period.
What is the REAL story here? The answer: Look to McConnell.
Related Article: Russia investigation: Robert Mueller ‘has obtained tens of thousands of Trump transition team emails’.
The REAL news story to be found here, one which won’t be found on any major mainstream media outlet, is the question of has Mueller finally forced McConnell into pulling the trigger on Trump and has Trump finally decided how the hammer is to fall? McConnell has made all of the anti-Mueller moves that he can, so that once it really looks like Mueller actually will take Trump down, McConnell needs to be able to tell Trump’s base that he and the party did everything they could to actually stop it from happening. DON’T FORGET – As far as McConnell is concerned this is all about the 2018 congressional elections. McConnell’s co-conspirators in the House and Senate care infinitely more about getting themselves reelected than they do about what will eventually happen to Trump.
McConnell has already used up every bit of political capital he had getting the tax legislation passed, despite knowing that by doing so he may have made it harder for the party to get reelected in 2018. McConnell is not now going to completely wipe out his party’s chances at reelection by further trying to help Trump get off the hook for his crimes. McConnell can live with Trump going down, because then he won’t have to answer for him while running for reelection. McConnell just wants Trump’s base to think he’s not happy about Trump’s demise but that it was necessary for the party’s survival.
