This year’s International Women’s Day features strikes and rallies called, “A Day Without Women.” Women are encouraged, not only to skip work and school, but avoid purchasing non-essential items to highlight the impact women have on the economy. The “Women’s Strike” is designed to prompt people to ask, “what would happen in a world where women didn’t exist?”
As if in solidarity, the lights went out on the Statue of Liberty.
WomesMarch.com explains what A Day Without a Woman actually is on their website.
On International Women’s Day, March 8th, women, and our allies will act together for equity, justice and the human rights of women and all gender-oppressed people, through a one-day demonstration of economic solidarity.
There are simple ways most people can participate. So simple, in fact, even these mansplaining morons could grasp if they wanted to. If you’re unable to take the day off or avoid shopping, the easiest option is to show show solidarity by wearing red. Like the Women’s March in January, “A Day Without a Woman” includes women and their male allies.
Women March found an amazing artist who got the message unlike some of the mansplaining haters.
Don’t pester the the right wing misogynists while they’re pretending they are “naturally” superiority. Many of these poor, insecure, weaklings took to Twitter to voice their fear and anger that women might dare express their autonomy. After all, if all things are equal, we might just all find out just how inferior these “superior” men actually are.
It’s rather pathetic that men who imagine themselves a “rugged individual” can’t handle one day without women at their beck and call.
This misogynist calls for violence.
IThis twitter user uses his platform to the world to abuse trans women.
Of course, illustrating the fact that right wing women are required to be bigger misogynists than right wing males, desperate for a patriarchal pat on the head, this woman completely misses the point.
