A white supremacist militia group is admitting that Nikolas Cruz, the 19-year old gunman who murdered seventeen people at a Florida high school yesterday, had “trained” with them.
The New York Times reported, “Jordan Jereb, a leader of a white supremacist group based in North Florida, told The Associated Press that Mr. Cruz had joined the group, but later Mr. Jereb said that he did not know whether that was true. Sheriff Israel said he could not confirm any ties Mr. Cruz might have had to white nationalists.”

CNN reports, “On social media, Nikolas Cruz did not appear to be a peaceful man. He made quite clear his desire to perpetrate the exact type of violence of which he now stands accused.
Before he allegedly committed one of the worst mass shootings in US history at a Parkland, Florida, high school on Wednesday, police officials say Cruz wrote social media posts so threatening he was reported to the FBI.
He hurled slurs at blacks and Muslims, and according to the Anti-Defamation League, had ties to white supremacists. He said he would shoot people with his AR-15 and singled out police and anti-fascist protesters as deserving of his vengeance. Just five months ago, he stated his aspiration to become a “professional school shooter.”
Yet on the morning of the massacre, the family that took the 19-year-old into their home didn’t notice anything terribly strange about the young man’s behavior, the family’s attorney said Thursday.”
Filled with hate for humanity and love of instruments of death, it’s no surprise the murderer is also a Trump suporter and frequenty wore a “Make America Great Again” hat in school.
Samantha Allen of The Daily Beast interviewed some of his classmates, writing, “The one person I would expect to do it did it,” said Julianna Sivon, who said she sat next to Cruz in English class last year. “He loved talking about his guns. He just didn’t seem right, but he didn’t seem like he would do something this big.”
Kamrie Bazal, 19, and Damar Osouna, 19, said they knew Cruz in school and that he talked about about guns but they did not suspect he would kill. Daniel Journey, 18, said Cruz was a troublemaker who was kicked out of class once for smashing windows.
Nyla Hussain, a 16-year-old junior, said her good friend sat next to Cruz in biology class last year and that he would regularly show her photos of dead animals.
“Whoever he sat next to in class he would show pics of animals that he hunted,” she said.
Two classmates said they saw Cruz wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.
“I saw him wear a Trump hat,” said Sebastian Gonzalez, a 19-year-old who graduated in 2017.
Ocean Parodie, a 17-year-old junior, said Cruz was politically extreme.
“For example, he would degrade Islamic people as terrorists and bombers. I’ve seen him wear a Trump hat,” Parodie said.
Josh Charo, a 16-year-old junior who was in JROTC with Cruz, said he often expressed racist beliefs.
“He would always talk about how he felt whites were a bit higher than everyone,” Charo said. “He’d be like, ‘My people are over here industrializing the world and starting new things, while your people [meaning blacks and Latinos] are just taking up space.’”
Gee. Cruz simply sounds like he’s repeating what he hears at C-PAC or a Trump rally.
From anti-social behavior towards minorities and anyone not born into wealth to their preoccupation with the sex lives of other, to their straight-up paranoia about “secret societies” and “the deep state” perhaps it’s time to for us all to face the reality that one of the two major political parties in America is now just a magnet for incredibly sick people.
It’s time to vote all Republicans out of office until they get the mental health help they desperately need, before they make society sicker.
