One of the more disheartening anecdotes of the Donald Trump era is the rise of a cottage industry of kooks and cosplay journalists who have made it their business to find pedophilia under every rock. These true deplorables are responsible for driving a bizarre conspiracy theory known variously as “Pizzagate,” “QAnon,” or “The Storm,” which claims that everyone who is everyone in the Democratic Party and Hollywood is part of a massive child sex trafficking wing. And they’ve kept it up even after it’s been debunked several times over.
These kooks see themselves as crusaders for justice who are helping Trump make America great again. In reality, they have smeared and slandered dozens of innocent people, making them fodder for trolling and harassment of the worst type. Given the nature of this movement, it was only a matter of time before they started eating their own. Well, it looks like that might very well be happening right now in real time.
One of the more obnoxious promoters of Pizzagate and QAnon, Liz Crokin, has found it harder to push her lunacy after getting banned from Twitter last month–most likely after she tried to falsely accuse J. K. Rowling of covering for pedophiles. To hear Crokin talk, nearly all vocal Trump critics are at the very least covering for pedophilia–or may be pedophiles themselves.
Crokin has mostly been limited to promoting her dreck on Instagram. Last week, she shared a video from fellow Pizzagater Mikaela Seales, who goes by “@RobotInteriors” on Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. Seales delivered a warning James Alefantis, owner of the Comet Ping Pong pizzeria in Washington which is the reputed center of Pizzagate–she and her compatriots “are super excited to watch you die” for his supposed debauchery.
The folks at People for the American Way’s Right Wing Watch decided to shine a hot light on the kind of lunacy that drives Pizzagate.
The saner elements of the Internet responded as expected–by pointing at Seales’ tinfoil hattery and laughing. Seales responded by googling down on the crazy. Watch here.
After even more criticism and ratioing, Seales announced she was taking a break. She has myofascial pain syndrome, and the stress of the last few days caused a flareup that forced her to go into the hospital–for which she blamed the deplorables’ favorite whipping boy, George Soros.
This would normally be the part where Crokin and her fellow Pizzagate/QAnon kooks wailed at how those sick and evil deep state swamp creatures pushed a good patriotic woman to the brink. But believe it or not, Crokin actually turned on Seales. She told one of her buddies, “@StormIsUponUs,” that Seales was a “crisis actor” and MK Ultra stooge.
Crokin claimed that Seales had been brainwashed into helping carry out a false flag operation intended to muzzle those trying to save the children. For good measure, she claimed that Seales had close links to Hillary Clinton’s legal team.
That smear hit Seales from somewhere around nail level on the floor of her home.
For good measure, Seales claimed that Crokin was the one who was part of the deep state.
Crokin responded by posting a screen capture of information from Seales’ bankruptcy case. She noted that the trustee was a lawyer from Perkins Coie, the law firm that commissioned the “golden showers” dossier. Combined with Seales’ previous opposition to Trump, Crokin believed it was a sign that Seales was a plant. You’ll have to take my word for it; due to concerns that this post amounts to doxing, I’m not linking to it.
Seales retorted that she was forced to file for bankruptcy after she and her husband filed for divorce, and blasted Crokin for dragging her soon-to-be ex-husband’s name into it.

You all saw me wake up. I haven’t lied about any of it. I was worried about Trump after the election. I didn’t understand where we were so I got out and asked questions. I swear when i didn’t even pay attn to most of that bankruptcy process. Have you ever done that?! We hired a private lawyer. The trustee I think is the the one who handled the financial expungement. But we had a private attorney and I didn’t even know Perkins Coie was involved. You’re learning when I am. I am super fucking embarrassed mainly because she splashed my husbands name on the internet. My married name is Seales. I wanted to avoid dragging him into this. Well that really fucking backfired in my face. Now people think one a crisis actor fall flag fill in the blanks whatever they’ll say to turn you against me. Amazing. To experience this is really something. Holy shit. I may go live. I don’t know what else to do.
She has also demanded that @StormIsUponUs and Crokin apologize for smearing her and doxing her husband.
It also looks like she’s about to sue Crokin for plastering her ex-husband’s name all over the Internet.
If Seales does follow through on this, she could really draw blood. Unlike a number of Crokin’s other targets–like Rowling, John Podesta, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend–Seales is a private person. Cases like this are why private people have a lower bar to clear to win a libel suit than public figures.
Frankly, a case like this, if it happens, is long overdue. It’s long past time these kooks were put on notice that they can’t smear innocent people with impunity.
